HTTD:Storm Rider-Megara the Storm Rider

While I was on Skype with my friend Mackattack21 and later my friend phoenixrosefirehear I got around to color this sketch of Meg in "HTTYD: Storm Rider" in her rider attire which she starts wearing a bit after training Ignis.

Homeland: Isle of Moonstar

Hair color: Dark brown

Eye color: Sapphire blue with flecks of bluegreen and a ring of gold around the pupil

Skin color: Light cream colored with freckles and a faded scar under the right eye

Family: Ayumishka and Vangrov Pendragon (grandparents/legal guardians), Tyson and Shayla Pendragon (parents, father dead, mother unknown)

Personality: Growing up among cut-throat, violent and stubborn Vikings Meg has taken on almost all of their habits. She is stubborn, hard-headed, and can get quite violent when provoked. though like all people, she has good qualities as well. She denies it but has some maternal instincts, shown at times when she's around her three friends. She also has a soft spot for any dragon breed and gets along better with them than people usually. Because of this she's not very popular among her fellow clan-mates for her recluse behavior (her friends are the only acception)

Backstory: 

Megara has grown up with her grandparents since she was 8 years old. Her mother disappeared when she was only 2 so Meg doesn't remember her much and her father died in battle shortly before Meg was made to live with her grandparents. After this change, Meg took to spending more time around the village dragons than the people. Her friends-Balvok (the chief's son), Eric (her childhood friend since they were 4), and Eric's best friend Crash-were the only exception to her unease around other humans, having known them since before her father's death.

For years Meg would go off on her own to explore, looking in caves and walking along the beach for interesting items to collect. She also enjoyed climbing trees which was how she discovered Ignis. She had been at the top of one, just wanting time alone, when she had seen the smoke caused by his fire. She went to check it out and that is how they met. Now she is known as the Storm Rider. A title given by the Storm Blazers alpha, King Blackthorn. It is a title she is well-known for now on Moonstar and the places around it, but that doesn't change her attitude or nature. Ignis makes sure of that.

The scar is from a battle with another dragon rider just as in sync with their own dragon as she was Ignis. Both have this scar which makes them feel more connected as it is a reminder they only managed to live by working together. And a reminder to get a rematch next time they meet that dragon rider (and no it wasn't Valka or Hiccup or even Daggur...why it would be him though...? but no, it's another OC of mine. that has not been made yet.).
