Description
Random sketches again. This time they kind of should be explained better.
1.) I like the idea of the frill moving like a cockatoo's and at will so it does. This first sketch is showing the frill flattened somewhat because of my (Megadragon's) anger or aggitation. It's also somewhat an anthro Mega picture because it lacks the neck plates.
2.) The only thing to explain here is the three lines below the fanned out cheek frills/fins. Those are in fact gills. I be part catfish. :3 *shot* XD I do look like I would be though. I mean just look ad the whiskers. XD *shot again* Ok, ok, in all seriousness, I love swimming. I just hate that I have to always come up for air. So Megadragon has gills like the dragons in the "How to Train Your Dragon" book series (glob...Another HTTYD reference... lol) which I read up on in the 'Guide to Dragons' book I got at Hastings. It says dragons have gills that automatically close on land. And vise versa for the lungs. I thought that was pretty cool. Oh and yeah, I'm making her frill (or 'sail') that long. Deal with it.
*shot* Only one person will get why I said that and he knows who he is. lol
3.) This was more for practice on drawing the head frill from the front. I don't usually like doing it since it looks weird and is complicated to do but I thought I'd try it with a picture I referenced which showed me how.
4.) And lastly...A really poor attempt at baby Mega... I based it off of Weirdhyena's style of drawing baby dragons but the cheeks...It looks like she's got something in her mouth... lol Oh and the mighty brush tail. XD *shot*
