I wanted to redesign Varsolus and Yandor, two of my much older Shardians from before I fully figured out what they look like. Then I added the other ones, including Yuki who I will tell more about below with the rest. This is mainly to show that Shardians can look like whatever you want as long as they are furry and have wolf-like Japanese style dragon heads. Again though, Shardians are NOT dragons. They look like them but are not dragons.
Varsolus: One of Shardias most skilled warriors. His ansestors have served the royal family for generations, being in the circle of close allies and friends to the royals. Varsolus was a close friend of Kuro Bara's when they were young and by the scars on his body it is implied he has been in many fierce battles. Remember, Shardians love to fight, but sometimes even play goes too far.
Yandor: Varsolus' younger brother by an hour or so. At first he was going to be the villain in "Kuro Bara's Reign" but I figured that he doesn't look right to be a villain. He is more of a trickster and not as much of a fighter as Varsolus but can hold up well when fighting other Shardians. He too was a friend of Kuro's when she was young.
Yuki: Yuki isn't really mine. He was made by my friend pd123sonic. He is apparently a rather old Shardian and quite wise. He was Kuro Bara's mentor and like a sort of grandfather to her. In "Kuro Bara's Reign" he is seen briefly in flash backs and it is hinted he died of old age before "Legend of Saria"'s story arch.
Megara: As stated a few times in the past, Megara is the main character in the book before "Kuro Bara's Reign" (Which I'm thinking of changing to 'Black Rose' which is technically the same thing.), "White Fire". Megara is a Shardian with the breath weapon of white fire rather than fire the color of her coat. As of now I haven't figured out how this is important but it is as Kage actually went out in search of it. In "Black Rose" Megara is informed to be Kuro Bara's mother but did not find life in Shardia suited her as she was hatched and raised outside of her homelands (adopted basically).
Kage: His name means "Shadow" in Japanese. The rightful heir to Shardia's throne in "White Fire" but due to being only the prince at the time, he was not obligated to taking up his role as ruler. His temper, impatience, and violent nature beyond that of normal Shardian ways also makes his parents relucant to allow him to take up the title any time soon either. He and Megara meet on a rather bad note, having attacked each other at first. Crash, Kage's best and only dragon friend, managed to break them up before any true harm could be done. By the end of 'White Fire' Kage has taken his place as king of Shardia, though does so alone as Megara has no desire to live there. He understands she feels she has much more to do but a mere month after he becomes king, Kuro Bara's egg is found in his sleeping chamber with a single black feather laying next to it.
Kuro Bara: Name means "Black Rose" in Japanese, hense the title of her story. Her first appearance isn't until 'Black Rose', starting with the end of the prologue. She is the daughter of Megara of the White Flame and Kage the king of Shardia. Like her father she is short tempered and impatient but like her mother she knows restraint. In "Black Rose" Kuro has mixed feelings on her mother. From what she is told of Megara from the other Shardians, she is an unusual Shardian but they owe her their lives.
I'm not sure right now if Kuro ever really took up her place on the throne but since I don't want to repeat the plot of "White Fire", I think she instead went out of Shardia in search of her mother. She met Drownser then and that's how Saria came to be.
